The Story
Why this project matters
At the far end of the school, there are classrooms where the bell does not always reach.
When it rings, some pupils hear it clearly - but others hear nothing at all.
So they continue writing, continue listening, unaware that time has already changed for the rest of the school.
It is not disobedience. It is not carelessness.
They simply did not hear it.
Meanwhile, a teacher may have to stop what they are doing and walk across the school just to alert a class that a lesson has ended.
Something as small as a bell is quietly affecting order, fairness, and the daily experience of learning.
This project is about fixing that.
It is about ensuring that every pupil, no matter where they sit, moves with the same rhythm as the rest of the school.
Every pupil deserves to be included. Every pupil deserves to hear the bell.
This is a simple problem - but one that makes a real difference when solved.
And it is something we can fix together.
What was happening
In the far end classrooms, the school bell is not always heard when it rings.
Because of this, some pupils remain seated while the rest of the school has already moved to the next activity.
This causes confusion, interrupts lessons, and forces teachers to walk long distances just to inform pupils that time has changed.
What will change
With a proper bell system in place, every pupil will hear the signal clearly, no matter where they are seated.
Classes will move together. Lessons will flow smoothly. Time will be respected across the entire school.
No child will be left behind simply because their classroom is far away.
Steps taken
We have identified the need for a reliable electric bell system that can be heard clearly across the entire school.
The plan is to install a bell system that ensures every classroom, regardless of location, hears the same signal at the same time.
We are now coming together as alumni to make this happen.
